Terms of use for group rooms
- Rooms are reserved via the dedicated booking system, booked. Members of the University of Zurich can access booked using their UZH login details. Non-members are required to create a profile in booked in order to make a reservation.
- In the event that you are unable to keep a reservation, the booking must be cancelled in advance via booked.
- A reservation will be forfeit if the badge has not been collected from the information desk 15 minutes after the start of the reserved time slot or if the room is still empty after this time.
- Rooms must be left in a clean, tidy state. Group rooms must also be locked using the badge provided. The person who made the reservation will be liable in the event of any damage to or misuse of the room.
- The library may be required to close certain rooms at short notice due to unforeseen issues. There is no entitlement to alternative rooms or workspaces in this case.
- Violation of the terms of use will result in the withdrawal of authorisation to use the rooms.
- Only persons in possession of a valid library card are permitted to use group rooms.
- One group room reservation for up to four hours per day is permitted per group. No more than two group room reservations are permitted per week.
- To ensure fair use of facilities, group rooms are only available to book for groups of two people or more. The use of group rooms by parties of one is not permitted.
- The consumption of food in the rooms is not permitted; however, the consumption of non-alcoholic beverages is permitted.
- The rooms are not soundproof; therefore, out of consideration for others, listening to music and loud conversations are not permitted.
- The user regulations of the Zentralbibliothek Zürich are binding at all times.
